Hallie Potocki, a writer with First Magazine (1.5 million readers), is doing a piece on sexual confidence for women and is looking for a ˜testimonial’ woman who would like to share her story. She will need to briefly interview a woman between 30 and 50 (attractive as her photo will be in the magazine) whose profile would include having lived with a too-long lingering and frustrating sex-confidence robbing concern – whether physical or emotional (from ˜good girl’ syndrome to persistent vaginal infections to ˜the spark is just gone’) “- and who found that with some change — lubricant, massage awareness, self-pleasure, exhibitionism, or something else — not just her sexual confidence with her significant other improved, but her confidence overall.

“I am looking for the most reader-relatable woman “ the neighbor next door. Our demographic is working moms, so if she has kids that is a plus. I am on a tight deadline so this is an ASAP.

Call Hallie at (631) 486-5181, or email her at hpotocki@aol.com

Dr. Carol Queen

Carol Queen has a PhD in sexology; she calls herself a "cultural sexologist" because her earlier academic degree is in sociology: while she addresses individual issues and couple's sexual concerns, her overarching interest is in cultural issues (gender, shame, access to education, etc.). Queen has worked at Good Vibrations, the woman-founded sexuality company based in San Francisco that turned 35 years old in 2012, since 1990. Her current position is Staff Sexologist and Good Vibrations Historian; her roles include representing the company to the press and the public; overseeing educational programming for staff and others; and scripting/hosting a line of sex education videos, the Pleasure-Ed series, for GV’s sister company Good Releasing. She also curates the company's Antique Vibrator Museum. She is also the founding director of the Center for Sex & Culture, a non-profit sex ed and arts center San Francisco, and is a frequent lecturer at colleges, universities, and community-based organizations.
