HUMP! Film Festival makes its return to San Francisco

One of the sexiest, funnest, dirty movie fest is making its way to the Bay Area in a big way… Dan Savage’s 14th Annual HUMP! Opening Film Festival!

The amateur short porn festival, opens in Seattle Washington, Portland Oregon, and for the first time ever, San Francisco California, at the Victoria Theatre from November 7th through 17th, 2018.

Hump! provides non-professional filmmakers and stars a platform to share with an audience what they think is hot and sexy, creative and kinky, from their ultimate turn-ons to their craziest fantasies. The carefully curated program brings a diverse range of body types, shapes, ages, colors, sexualities, genders, kinks, and fetishes—all united by a shared spirit of sex-positivity.

Good Vibrations is no stranger to amateur erotic film festivals, previously hosting The Quickies festival in San Francisco at the historic Castro Theatre. That’s why the Good Vibrations/Babeland stores will be sponsoring the festival with various goodies geared for the audience, including raffle prizes at the showings and a Secret Sale discount code good for online and in store use.

HUMP! has been coming to the Bay Area for several years now— but this is the first year that the Bay Area audience will be able to vote for the winners, awarding filmmakers a hefty cash prizes for their original films!

The festival’s roots began in Seattle, Washington, Savage’s hometown. “Traditionally,” says Savage, “audiences in the Pacific Northwest have voted for HUMP’s winners for Best Sex, Best Kink, Best Humor and Best in Show. But as the festival grew, more and more films were coming from the Bay Area. Our audience in the Bay Area is almost as large as our Seattle and Portland audience! It seems only fair to open voting to the Bay Area!” That means that audiences entering the Victoria Theatre will receive ballots as they walk in. After the show, they’ll vote on their favorite films and their votes will be counted towards HUMP!’s cash prize winners.

The prizes are:

  • Best Humor: $2,000 First Prize, $1,000 Runner-Up
  • Best Sex: $2,000 First Prize, $1,000 Runner-Up
  • Best Kink: $2,000 First Prize, $1,000 Runner-Up
  • Best in Show: $10,000 Grand Prize

After the opening festival concludes, HUMP! will hit the road in 2019 and screen to over 50 cities across the U.S. and Canada.
