Good Vibrations Partners With Groups Working To End Hunger

One of the many things I like about Good Vibrations is our comittment to helping organizations that improve the world. Through our GiVe program, we’ve collected donations from our amazing customers for Planned Parenthood, the Red Cross, several STI and sexual health clinics, Marriage Equality USA, and many other groups and agencies.

This month, we’re working with some of the organizations in our own communities that are working to end hunger.

Meals on Wheels of San Francisco is committed to the belief that all seniors have the right to live independently with dignity and respect in their own homes for as long as it is safely possible. It is their mission to provide isolated homebound seniors in San Francisco with nutritious meals, daily human contact and supportive services to prevent their premature institutionalization.

Berkeley Meals on Wheels provides over 50,000 hot and tasty meals to homebound seniors each year, offering a nutritious meal and daily check-in to frail seniors so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes.  A team of dedicated volunteers delivers meals to seniors throughout Berkeley—and in true Berkeley style, deliveries are made through the use of cars, bicycles and feet (pedestrian delivery routes!)

Greater Boston Food Bank is the largest hunger-relief organization inNew England and among the largest food banks in the country. GBFB works to acquire, store, organize and distribute food through local food pantries, community meal programs, homeless and residential shelters, youth programs, senior centers, and day-care centers embedded in communities throughout the nine counties of eastern Massachusetts.

You can make a donation in any of our stores or through our website. And unlike some organizations, we give 100% of your donation to the folks you’re giving to. So join us and help support our communities!
