A Pre-Party for the Orgasm, Inc. Screening (Boston)

The medicalizaton of sexuality has been a pretty hot topic lately. And with the massive amount of money generated by Viagra and similar medications, a lot of companies are trying to find a similar product for women. The problem, though, is that a medication for sexual arousal just isn’t as easy to find as one for erections. (It’s worth noting that erection medications don’t facilitate arousal, either.)

Last year, I was lucky to see a pre-release screening of Orgasm Inc., a fantastic movie about the quest for an arousal drug for women. Through interviews, documentary footage, and a bit of humor, the filmmakers give you a pretty good look at what goes on behind the scenes at pharmaceutical companies and the FDA regulation process. It’s definitely worth seeing.

On Thursday, March 24, the Coolidge Corner Theater in Boston is showing the film and we’re hosting a pre-party at our Brookline store, just around the corner. Come on by anytime between 5:30-7 pm and join us for wine, treats, discounts, and sexy prizes!  Plus, there will be a special appearance by director Liz Canner!
