Good Vibrations Raises Thousands for National Breast Cancer Coalition
“Think Outside the Pink” Campaign Made Doing Good Feel Great
In an exciting example of the power of giving, Good Vibrations, the trusted San Francisco-based company that takes pride in providing accurate information on sexuality and quality sex toys for grown-ups, raised over four thousand dollars for the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC). Their “think outside the pink” campaign ran from October 1st through October 31st and encouraged customers to support NBCC by purchasing a toy of any color by a participating vendor, of which 10% of total sales benefitted NBCC, or by making a direct contribution at checkout.
Inspired to support the cause of ending breast cancer and wanting to draw attention to pleasure and health, Good Vibrations partnered with five top vendors to make doing good feel better. 10% of the proceeds from partner products – in a variety of colors – went to NBCC, including the We-Vibe 3, Pyxis from Jopen, Fifi by JeJoue, Mystic Wand from Vibratex, the Gyro-G by Pleasure Works, and the Jimmyjane Form 3.
“It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with our vendor friends around a cause that hits close to home for so many people. Our vendors were delighted to participate, and clearly, so were our customers!” says Senior Buyer Coyote Days.
The National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) was formed in 1991 with one mission: to end breast cancer. NBCC has accomplished much over its 20-plus years bringing about unprecedented research funding to the worldwide scientific community, forging new collaborations to design research and set priorities, expanding access to information and care to underserved women, and launching unparalleled training programs to prepare advocates around the globe to work side by side with scientists, policy makers and health care providers.
For over 36 years Good Vibrations has partnered with hundreds of local and national non-profit organizations. By donating products, advertising and sponsorship for fundraisers, along with a percentage of retail sales, the company has provided much needed support for women’s shelters, HIV/AIDS research, art programs, LGBT benefits, sexuality education, disaster relief and much more, detailed on their GiVe page.
